You know what I hate?
Cramps.
[...Hey now, don't get all freaked. I apologize wholeheartedly to the guys who don't care to hear about this, but muddle through - it goes away, I swear. Hell knows if you can't even read about it you're going to wind up gay anyway.]
Worse than cramps?
The fact that nothing helps them.
The fact that nothing helps them.
Because taking meds tends to have the same effect as....Well, imagine an ice cube. Then imagine that one, single little ice cube trying all by itself to put out every flame in the pits of Hell. This ice cube is known to us as Motrin, or a variation. And it does. Not. Work.
That said, don't you love [read: hate with a burning passion] how unfortunate [and unfortunately necessary] things such as this little fact of life tend to happen right when you don't want them to the most?
Like now, for instance. Way to ring in the New Year, right? [Well. I guess skipping it wouldn't really be a better way to start the new year, either...]
Speaking of which. Off that topic and on to a new one;
Holy balls, am I the only one who found 2010 to go by almost sickeningly fast? [Yes, this is the 'ohnoooes that whole year's all byebye now' post.]
Not that it was all bad, of course. One of the better years, at that.
Apart from the standard 'thisshitsucksballs' pieces. Which were rarer than most years, so it's all good. More or less.
My 2010 - because you care; feel free to share your own too - because I actually kind of do care.
- I think I'm out of my funk. At least, I've been consistently happier recently than I was for a whiiile. Yay stress relief and all that garbage.
- Lost some friends. But most of which were going to be lost anyway, so it's all good.
- Got dumped.....and back together within 24 hours. [Not shocking, considering some people do this on a weekly basis, but it was an emotional time, okay?]
- Just realized I didn't see a single concert all year....this pains me. It really does.
- Started my own online-business. And shut it down.
- Started playing World of Warcraft....I fear the Curse of the Gamer has settled and will never be lifted.
- Met a bunch of epic people. And some less-than-epic people.
- Got an utterly fantastic camera. I have yet to do something particularly worthwhile with it.
- Kind of figured out how to walk in heels. A little, anyway. This shit takes time, okay?
- Found out Cracker Barrel actually has pretty awesome breakfasts. Or, at least, the french toast is epic.
- Obtained my first and only item of Hollister clothing - as a gift. But it's lime green, so it's all good.
Among other things. This year was seemingly a little bit dull. But that said, one of the best yet - I mean, it at least could always be worse.
That concert-less year thing really is getting on my nerves though...Egh.
But there's always next year, right?
Oh. Quick note. I'm not actually confused as to what day it is - I'm very much aware that New Year's Eve is actually, in fact, tomorrow; not today. It's just that randomly enough, it now appears I'm going to be busy both tomorrow and New Year's Day. Go figure. So I easily might just not have time for you either of those days. And who would I be to skip this fantastically necessary little block of an update? Pft. Please.
Random side note; If you've never checked it out, head over to People Of Wal-Mart. Might as well make yourself feel better about yourself and your life by laughing at others', right?
